Isos Partnership is a net zero organisation

We have recently joined the SME Climate Hub. This is a initiative for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) who are committed to taking climate action immediately. The commitment requires SMEs to halve greenhouse gas emissions before 2030, achieve net zero emissions before 2050, and report progress on a yearly basis.

In fact, we are already achieving “net zero” by initiating a company-wide commitment to off-set all of our carbon emissions each year. We have done this by measuring our carbon emissions across the organisation and off-setting our total emissions for 2023 and 2024 through the Carbon Contract. This is a Swedish initiative that enables organisations to off-set their emissions through the production of biochar (a form of charcoal) that, when applied to soil, helps to store carbon, improve soil health and deliver many other environmental benefits. We intend to continue to off-set our total annual emissions in the future.
