Building capacity for school improvement

Since 2017, we have worked with the Regional Schools Commissioner for the South West of England and over 30 multi-academy trusts across the South West region to develop and use a multi-academy trust self-evaluation framework. Trust leaders have been using the framework to review their capacity for improvement, and the Department for Education have now made it available so that all multi-academy trusts can use the framework.

We continue to work with local education systems to develop and strengthen partnership working between schools and trusts, local authorities, and other key partners.  Our work continues virtually, despite the additional challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, with partners in Essex, East Sussex, Surrey, and a range of London Boroughs.
